Unlike before, Darth Maleine did not target each individual object being tossed at her. The Cerean instead did forward pushing motion with her hands and attempted to push everything in front of her back, not really caring what she pushed, a little reckless but hopefully effective. Her Cerean brain usually sought the most effective and efficient way to solve a problem and taking the time to latch onto each object with telekinesis would have taken too long and really isn't a Force Push in definition.
It took a significant effort to deflect the first stone block, Maleine almost felt as if she were pushing the thing manually. With the second and third it was somewhat easier but she was still sweating by the time she'd succeeded. Initially the fourth block's repulsion went the same but soon the Cerean became aware of a resistance to her Force Push. Glancing across the courtyard she realized that her master was now similarly applying pressure in the opposite direction, causing a clash of Force use.
The Cerean had sweat dripping steadily down her face as she held the block in place, well, more or less held it there. She began to draw all the energy she could find from inside herself and attempted to draw from around herself as well. Darth Maleine then started to exert this new found energy into her Force Push, pushing directly against the stone block. The sentinel hoped that her raw Force ability could overcome her master's practiced Force skill.
The block wavered and wobbled, caught between two counteracting Force Pushes. It began to strain under the pressure as neither side relented and hairline fractures began to appear. At length the stone cracked into many fragments and Kalma switched strategies by telekinetically moving the shards out of Maleine's Push's vector. The Sith Witch then sent the jagged slivers and hunks hurtling towards the Apprentice from the left and right.
The apprentice knew she could take a few hits but with each sliver slicing her down upon her she grew weaker. She clenched her teeth in pain and cuts appeared a cross her body from the hostile shards. Her Cerean brain was not to the point of being strained yet as her second and more important heart began to beat swifter to keep up with her Force Powers. Maleine used her excess brain power to telekinetically send each of the stone daggers as they broke off or came at her straight into the ground. Trying to use their momentum to embed them as deep as possible into the soft dirt.
Though a number of the rough projectiles left light gashes on Darth Maleine, the majority were redirected into the ground leaving what looked like some strange, primitive graveyard in miniature. This unusual display was quickly ruined, however, as Kalma used Force Push to bowl two of the stone blocks at Maleine.
Maleine was getting exhausted from the constant strain of the Force. She decided that she shouldn't clash again with Lady Kalma but she needed to show her master that she was gifted in the ways of the Force. The Cerean reacted the way she had before, except this time with two separate Force Pushes, each directed at a different stone.
She wondered how much longer she would have to deal with this, the strenuous fight was taking its toll on Darth Maleine. Surely Kalma had to get tired to, right? She thought.
Initially the two stone blocks entered a similar stasis as the one in the air had endured. Utilizing a ploy to catch Maleine off-balance, Kalma removed pressure from one of the stones. Deftly avoiding the block's flight once the two-way resistance no longer constrained it, Kalma quickly applied more of a Push to the other.
The sudden change in the force of the stone blocks confused her for a moment, she wouldn't have noticed it if the pressure on the other block wouldn't have been increased and quickly move towards her. Swiftly letting her concentration slip from the first block. She tried for new tactic this time, using her telekinesis for as short as possible but as effective as she could, she slid the stone hopefully out of her cone of the Witch's Force push, and then added all of force she had in her strained body to the rear of the block towards her master.
Maleine's plan to redirect the pressure worked, and though knocking the stone out of its position instead caused Maleine herself be pushed away, it succeeded in its intended goal. Kalma expertly dodged out of the now-grounded block's skid.
"Well played," the Witch commented dispassionately, "It seems you have some potential. That's enough for now, I've seen what I need. Achason will escort you to your new quarters."
Darth Ares: Don't forget to watch the original Clone Wars by Genndy Tartakovsky though, it's incredible and it's also the only Star Wars media where Grievous isn't a punk bitch
