Chi barely even saw the Sith's blurred figure as it dashed behind her. In response Chi jumped forward and spun around in one quick motion. She made sure she was holding the blaster the way he had showed her and fired a bolt at Darth Aristo.
The bolt flew but soon was met by the swiftly ignited lightsaber. The shot angled back towards Chi striking ground a step or two away from her foot. She could feel the heat rise from the spot on the floor next to her where the blaster bolt impacted. Deactivating his blade, Aristo moved again, arriving 180 degrees from where he last stood and once again reached for his 'saber.
Chi followed his movements and aimed slightly ahead of them, because she noticed the bolts had a slight delay from the time she fired and the time it hit their target. Once again she fired but this time she fired ahead of Aristo, in the direction he was moving.
Adjusting for the newly-discovered delay, Chi fired more precisely this time. But, when her instructor noticed the improvement, he too increased his accuracy. The red lightsaber blade once more reflected the blaster bolt back and, this time, the reflected shot grazed Chi's side. The armor she had been wearing for a day helped to dampen the heat but Chi could still feel a livid burn form under her clothing. Aristo wasted no time waiting for his student to recover, he again quenched his saber's blade and broke into a a run as he clipped it on his belt. Stopping in Chi's left peripheral after circling her several times, the Sith Marauders hand reached, as before, for his lightsaber.
Chi was getting a little annoyed with how close Aristo was reflecting the bolts, but she disregarded it rather than say something. Chi did not hesitate as she did before. Now that she knew how the weapon handled she quickly turned and fired again at where the Sith was, activating her force speed just before she turned.
Seeing Chi-Ki activate her Force Speed, Aristo began using his to enhance his draw whereas before he had just used it to circle her. With his increased reaction, the Templar easily redirected the blaster bolt back at its originator; this time striking Chi's unarmored left thigh. The Cerean felt waves of pain and frustration wash over her. As Aristo started moving again, the Sentinel began to experience a strange urging. Seemingly emanating from the ground of the planet itself and echoing through the castle, a subtle tug in the Force awakened instincts she had not felt before. Some part of her mind told her to use her pain, her anger to fuel her efforts and wordlessly assured her that this was the path to success.
Chi had always tried her best to ignore her feelings, to always look at things with a clear head, it was how the Jedi had taught her. However, she wanted to forget about her past and really show this Sith Master that she wanted to become a Sith. So she embraced her anger and frustration. Chi-Ki's eyes narrowed as she once again fired a bolt at Darth Aristo.
The Cerean woman felt new clarity of focus as she sank into her fury's flow. She swung around, almost anticipating Aristo's movements, and struck his breastplate with a shot before he could even reach for his weapon. The Sith's steely expression subtly betrayed surprise at his student's success.
"Well done, you've gotten a quick handle on the basics of blaster use," Aristo said just prior to approaching Chi and brusquely injecting bacta into her wounded leg. Despite the pain of the rough application, she felt great relief as the healing substance quickly began its work.

Turning about, Ariso telekinetically moved a sizable stone into Chi's blaster range which had been carved into the shape of a vertically elongated pyramid.
"I mentioned earlier that you can get a DL-44 to fire a more powerful bolt by juicing the trigger," Aristo continued, "This is accomplished by squeezing the trigger fully down for about a second before releasing it. Practice the motion by destroying that stone with heavy blasts then we'll move on to honing your trigger technique in earnest."
The technique ultimately proved more difficult than Chi-Ki had anticipated. An increased plasma bolt shot out at a different pace and trajectory than its unenhanced counterparts. There was also the trick of holding the trigger with just the right pressure for just the right length. Often the Cerean found herself unleashing an underfed or overfed bolt. The latter barely scratched the squat obelisk's surface while the latter was difficult to aim properly. After a few rounds of shots, the carved stone had major depressions and blast holes along its side but was still largely intact.
"Focus on you firing process," Aristo chided, "Feel the arrangement of your muscles that produces the best results and anticipate the direction of your shot. Good muscle discipline and trigger control are essential."
