The 'Grey Kestrel' reverted to real space and cut through the humid atmosphere of Felucia. Reaver brought her in over the fetid fungus filled jungle, Below giiant mushrooms trembled and pulsated in the heat. Reaver peered out of the cockpitt windows "Disgusting" he said "I'm goin g to wanbt to take a shower after we leave this planet" Hw turned to his apprentice "I going to land on the top of that giant mushroom thing over there, It should take our weight"
The yacht landed and the mushroom sagged and bobbed sickeningly for a minute. Outside the window Kairlin could see the typical vegetation of the planet, but also interspersed throughout the ivory white old bone. The number of bones increased rapidly in in the shoirt distance he could see. "Outside you will find a path, it will lead to a slope heading downwards into a natural depression. Follow the path, I will monitor your progress through the force and issue instructions when needed. Oh and leave your weapons. The lesson doesnt require them."
"If you'd be so kind as to keep this safe then Master." Dufré handed "Evening's Embrace" to Reaver for safekeeping, and made his way to the exit ramp. Kairlin stood at the entrance of the ship. He looked to his fine robes, then to the... unsavory fauna of the place, then back to his robes. With a heavy sigh he departed. As he found the path he reached out with the force and telepathically commented on the setting of his mission.
"We should have reconnected with the witches, I don't think I'm going to find any lovely ladies here." Kairlin sneered as he stepped in some undefined gunk on the path. After a few minutes of following the path he did come across the depression his master had described. Kairlin looked around to take in his new surroundings. Paying special attention to the sounds, and smells of this section of his voyage.
as he progressed a stench of rotting meat grew steadily stronger, the narrow path was cluttered underfoot with bones of varying antiquity some totally uncovered other jutting out of the soft green fungi that passed for vegetation. Miasmas rising from the moist ground restricted vision and slime dripped from overhead and to his sides. The path widened out showing him that he was stood on a narrow ledge over a steep slope, As far as the eye could see were bones. Large bones, small bones, broken bones, unbroken bones, skull's of a large species with sharp fangs. The path continued gradually down into this bowl shaped animal ossuary
Kairlin pulled a rebreather out of his robes and put it in his mouth. He could still breath but the miasma was chokingly repugnant. Trying not to breath through his nose Kairlin progressed down the path circling the great bowl. The bones were strangely interesting to the former high inquisitor typically such unkempt surroundings were repulsive to Dufré, but the death he felt in the place was.. intoxicating. Kairlin sent his senses out before while he proceeded to the bottom of the bowl.
"Continue down the path. You need to reach near the centre of that bowl" Reavers voice echoed in his head "What you are seeing is a mere legend to most Felucians. Only the remainig Jungle Felucians know for sure it exists and even then only the clans that live near know where it is. The Rancor Graveyard. Where they come to die."

"This place is massive, but somehow it feels.. sacred." thought Kairlin as he was able to see the bones for what they were, the remnants of giant and powerful beasts. "I wonder if Rancors taken to other planets still feel this place's draw when the curtain call approaches."
The path to the center of the bowl was circuitous, and Kairlin was intrigued by the though of what awaited him at the center of the inverse dome. Turning from the path Kairlin started Force jumping down the slope, landing on a large skull here, then the path below, then what appeared to be the shoulder bone of a huge rancor. He was there now and he reached out with every sense available to him, for every sound, the distinct scents, observing the view of what was right before him as well as taking in the vastness of the huge bowl from it's center. He paid attention to the temperature, the humidity on his skin, and most of all he felt with the force.
As Kairlin reached the centre of the bowl, there was an ear splitting roar and the ground began to shake. Bones began to vibrate and then were tossed flying through the air as a massive animal, over 10 metres tall, stormed towards the apprentice.
"Bull Rancor" Reavers voice sounded urgent "The only way you will survive this encounter my apprentice is to use the force to outrun it. Concentrate on the force, draw it in you chest and legs and use it to run faster than you would normally be capable of. RUN"
Kairlin was awed by the presence of this huge creature, but Reaver's voice in his head reminded him that he didn't have the time to take it all in. Turning around Kairlin began to run first he ran as fast as he could, then he drew the force into him reinforcing the muscles in his legs, and chest.
He felt the ground tremble, and saw bones dislodged from their ancient burial ahead of him right into the path. Combining this fledging force speed with force jump Kairlin built up force energy like a spring around his rapidly moving legs and burst into a leap over the new obstacles. He combined the momentum of his jump with the force energy strengthening his run, building even higher speed, but the creature was still close behind.
In the distance he could make out the entrance he had used to enter the site, he noted a large skeleton of a rancor resting on the ledge composing the left wall of the path. Kairlin felt a slash from the rancor in the air just behind him, he wasn't going fast enough. Kairlin refocused his energy withdrawing his senses from outside of him and pulling all his force influence into his running, expanding beyond his physical possibilities into something only possible with the force. He didn't know how far or close behind him the creature was nor would he divert even that fractional energy to look back or reach out with the force. If he couldn't come to understand force speed in this moment it would be the end for Kairlin Dufré.
He was close to the entrance, now moving at incredible speed, something he hadn't done since before he was put in stasis all those years ago. A huge grin adorned his face, as he felt the air filter through his hair hectically. As he used the force to maintain his momentum Kairlin reached up with the force and used force pull on a large stone supporting the weight of the rancor skeleton on the left wall of the entrance, hoping to pull it down behind him slowing down if not stopping the rampaging beast pursuing him.
The bones crashed down behind him, followed by a loud angry roar. The thoroughly enraged Bul rancor began to haul itself up the slope. Kairlin almost missed the whine of repulsor lifts as the 'Grey Kestrel' swooped in above him and the boarding ramp lowered in mid air. "Jump Apprentice." Reavers voice snapped in his head
