Typical of any average adult Sith, Karys displays the characteristic bloodred skin of his species, and the distinctive facial spurs prominent in all members of the Sith however unlike other castes, and like all massassi he also features a fierce, predatory profile, sharp bone spurs that protrude over his body in various locations—especially the elbows, a pair of tendrils that hang from his cheekbones, and cartilaginous eyebrow–stalks that cover his eyes. He also exhibits a simian mouth, small nose and ears, and a slightly receding chin. Like other Sith, Karys also shares the trait of having triple–digits on each of his hands and feet.
However exclusive to his subspecies, Karys possesses large glowing yellow eyes...eyes which did not display details such as pupils or whites of any sort—instead the yellow seem to cover the whole of each eye. Standing taller than other members of his species, Karys is six feet and two inches tall without armor however when in armor this increases by another two inches, making him stand at six feet and four inches. He has no hair, preferring to be clean-shaven both on the head and in the face and his body is heavily scarred...marked with scars gained from various combat altercations that adorn is body....a fact he is fiercely proud of and is unashamed to admit having or even showing. Above and below both eyes, are symmetrical tattooed lines that seem to give off a eery blue glow, as if they have a life of their own. Karys is surprisingly unlike most of his caste, breaks the common mold in that he is highly intelligent, courteous, calculating and influential. This often confuses his enemies and friends alike as sometimes he acts dumber than he actually is to gauge a certain reaction in a attempt to see what they are thinking. Karys often prefers a more violent resolution to a conflict, viewing politics as somewhat tedious and dull when compared to the violence and thrill of the battlefield to which he is accustomed however he is not above other options should they be available to him, and will be very diplomatic if need be. He makes careful use of the visions of the future he is naturally attuned too, viewing them as warnings not to be ignored or taken lightly. Like alot of marauders, Karys has a violent temper which may switch on and off in the blink of an eye and as such those who anger him are quick not to do so again for fear of his wrath and what he may do. Usually however he exerts a calm, philosophical, respectful if fatherly demeanor and is very untrusting of the Jedi, Tulak Hord having installed a hatred of them into him centuries ago. He is absolutely fearless, viewing death as nothing but a new adventure to be experienced and a obstacle to overcome, as such he looks forward to the day a worthy adversary ends his life. Karys holds firm that building mutual respect and trust form stronger relationships and loyalties than violence or fear however he is not above using such methods should it suit his needs, viewing them as powerful tools of persuasion in his arsenal. To this extent, he exerts a air of dominance over those under his command, partly to keep them in check and partly to maintain discipline but he is always open to any suggestions or criticism from his soldiers should it be of value. Many of the various facts around Karys birth and subsequent rise have been lost to the sands of time, the centuries having changed the facts over time. Many of the truth's of his early life are now shrounded in mystery and mysticism. The truth is however that Karys was born to Kisara Sarasashi iv-Adas and Asmenys Hekk iv Sadow, on Korriban doing the time of the great ancient lords of the sith, circa 6000 BBY. From the moment Karys was born his was a life of scrutiny. At birth he was inspected, had he been malformed or misshapen he would of been discarded. But luckily for him that was not the case, instead he found his father taught him Sith history, and like all who bore the Massassi blood, he was trained, ruthlessly into an instrument of war, an avatar of death.
At the age 0f 7, Karys was taken from the family home to begin the sacred tradition of the males joining the warrior caste entailing him to a life of brutality and unforgiving treatment in a spartan like regime of training that most in the galaxy would view as barbaric. All of which was in preparation for his possible future role of being taken under a Massassi Warlord, and made into the greatest physical weapon the Sith had.
This training continued for years, preparing him until he would be ready to enter a sith academy.
On his 18th year, Karys began the Rites Of Passage. Sent to Ziost, Karys was forced into fighting in freezing conditions in a lichen-covered square, several meters from a opponent dressed in nothing but identical boiled hide, covering only the face, shoulders and waist and wielding only a lanvarok, Karys did battle to earn his place. It was but only the first test he passed. For the next few years, Karys' life consisted of brutal training in hand to hand combat, the art of deception, stragedy and all manner of tactics of war even going so far as being actively forced and indeed encouraged to steal from purposely set up stalls from which he could steal and pickpocket...less he starve. If caught the common practice was to be be tied to a wooden pole and brutally lashed across the back by a rod until his flesh tore asunder. Despite the harsh reality of the regime there were moments when he was given a reprieve such as when he and his clan brothers were given the task and almost sacred tradition of hunting so all of the clan and the Warlord which he served could eat. However during these hunts he often took detours to sacred relics ignoring clan rules and earning harsh words and even harsher punishment in the form of yet more beatings despite what his father and his Warlord master tried to instill in him. At first he met much resistance to his actions but in time they began to understand the insatiable curiosity that dealt within his soul for knowledge and of knowing the world in the galaxy beyond.
Despite these misgivings and troubles, in combat Karys was well known as a remarkably gifted fighter. Many times did Karys display a viciousness and power unsurpassed by the other men with whom he shared his training, in duals it was said that he was soulless for he showed no mercy nor compassion to those he fought and seemed to literally enjoy the thrill of the battle to the point that sometimes his combat instructor had to intervene to prevent a untimely demise of a fellow student. It was often commented sometimes when his father observed such combat that Karys seemed to be possessed by a darkness reminiscent of Adas himself.
It was about this time that he learnt of his dormant force sensitivity when he ventured out into the wild to complete his final test. It was a ancient tradition, a trial of manhood among the clan to send the men to battle the planet's most dangerous creatures, stop any others along the way and bring back a trophy as proof. This trial would be different than the other men for this trial would secure Karys place as his father's successor but the force it seemed had willed that this was not to be. It was while out in the wild that he started hearing whispers in his mind, a ancient voice of power that seemed to share the same darkness as resided within him. It was from this voice that he learnt of his true ancestry as he stumbled across a ancient monument built for Adas, the voice he had heard it seemed, resided from within the statue and had led him to it. It was then that this 'ghost' appeared above the monument and that told of how Karys shared the same blood as from him and it was he who prophesied that one day he would become a powerful darkness himself, unmatched in combat, respected by some, dismissed by others but feared by all just as he was when he was alive.
Taking such thoughts to heart, Karys continued his Rite of Passage, eventually completing it to the joy of his father and mother. But the bliss was not to last. He was soon taken along with several others, by Sith recruiters to the academy to begin the next stage of his life. A life he adjusted to quickly, many quickly underestimated him and paid for it with their lives. The bodies left in his wake and his reputation soon earnt the attention of the Dark Lord himself, Tulak Hord who unbeknown to him started to take a vested interest in his early training before finally approaching the Massassi personally and then the trainer to make clear his intention of taking him on as his apprentice. Something the Massassi was honoured by, for few ever had such a opportunity.
His sith training under Tulak Hord was far more intense and brutal than any training he had ever undertaken. Tulak Hord demanded near perfection with every task, and his paranoia was becoming ever more evident. Eventually having earnt the title of Sith Master himself, Karys become known as Darth Lucifer and became Tulak Hord's closest ally. He long foresaw his friends death, and after telling him of it plans were made.
Hord soon approached the sith enchanters, predecessors of the Krath, with a proposition. It was not known what was the price to be paid, only that a whole host of his most loyal soldiers and his most loyal ally were put into into stasis in case he'd need a surprise ace in the future. Soon after Karys vision came to pass and Tulak Hord was slain before he could be awoken. Karys awoke up years later to a galaxy he no longer recognised as he discovered the Sith Empire was in tatters after facing the Republic. Dismayed and disheartended, he travelled the galaxy in search of any remnants of what had been. Finding nothing but infighting, he was disgusted with what he found and almost destroyed them himself. But the Force stayed his hand, willing that he instead return to his slumber...he took it as a sign. A sign he should wait for a worthy Dark Lord and gather others who would be as his equal. And so over the centuries did Lucifer take on many names, his story soon became as legend and many thought him immortal. Fact became blurred with fiction, but always remained the name of his most famous persona the 'Red Warrior'.

This wealth only grew exponentially over the millenia as Lucifer maintained several slush funds and other various hidden accounts spread throughout the galaxy that he accessed only when he rose from slumber via various aliases throughout the centuries on a as needed basis.

A crushgaunt shaped like a ancient clawed beast, this artifact was gifted to Lucifer upon completion of his Sith training by none other than Tulak Hord himself. As well as it's inbuilt ability to tear, slash, impale or crush victims skulls, this ancient item was embalmed with the art of Sith Alchemy. Granting it's user the ability to generate a powerful Force Push should the need ever arise.
Ability: In addition to increasing a wearer's unarmed damage, Crushgaunts grant a +2 bonus to Strength-based checks made with the wearer's hands. Because of how they are worn, Crushgaunts can't be Disarmed or dropped. Crushgaunts are two sizes smaller than their wearer (For example, Crushgaunts designed for a Human are Tiny).
Crushgaunt has been alchemically altered, rendering it impervious to lightsabers with a Soak of 5. As Crushgaunts use the wearer's Martial Arts ability, is has only a single Exotic Weapon Rank. Functionally works the same as a standard crushgaunt, it's just made differently.
