As with the rest of New Aldera's central districts, the New Aldera Royal Palace is an exact duplicate of its former counterpart on Alderaan. Although the planet currently lacks the Monarchical rule it has enjoyed for much of its history, the palace still sees heavy use as the center of government. It is here that the Alderaanian Council, representing the interests of the planet and its people, comes to session, in a room with a high-backed throne reserved for the King or Queen. Various governmental facilities are spread throughout the Palace - including, notably, the High Court - as are a number of stately reception rooms, ballrooms, and similar such high-class features. It is also home to numerous living quarters, used and unused - including the personal chambers of Princess Organa Solo and her family, kept in a state of readiness if she ever returns - and the royal Throne Room.
